Working around
patients

Ward and clinical refurbishment for Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, Great Western Hospitals, the St Monica Trust and Taylor & Taylor.

Infection control decides the programme

Wards, labs, prep areas, washrooms, M&E and flooring, taken in the sequence and at the hours the department can absorb. Containment, clean routes and dust control are agreed with your infection-control lead before anything starts.

Why Choose MLG for Healthcare Projects?

Containment and clean working

  • Containment and clean routes kept separate from clinical traffic
  • Dust and noise controlled while the ward stays in use
  • Site left safe and clean at every break, with daily sign-off where you want it

Planned with the department, not just estates

  • Programmes agreed with the ward or department manager as well as your estates team
  • Permits, isolations and out-of-hours working arranged around clinical activity
  • Certification and records issued as the work completes, not at the end of the job

Estates we already work on

  • NHS works for Bristol NHS Foundation Trust (formerly North Bristol and University Hospitals Bristol and Weston) and Great Western Hospitals in Swindon
  • Care and later-living estates for the St Monica Trust and Taylor & Taylor

What our clients say

I’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you for the work completed on the station overbridge. The quality has been excellent, and I really appreciate you going beyond the original scope by redecorating the steel columns on the span and the stairs, this has given the structure a much-improved overall finish. Delivering the works within the six-day blockade was a great achievement, and the improvements have made a noticeably long-awaited positive difference to the station. I have received nothing but positive feedback from the Station Team.

Alison Tarrant
Asset Manager (East), Great Western Railway

Just a short email to extend our thanks to your site team for the sterling work undertaken on the Cardiff Central Office Refurbishment scheme. Your staff were a credit to your company… Nothing was too much trouble, they all stringently followed our safety procedures and all had a positive, can-do attitude throughout the works. As you can see from the attached pics, it’s been some transformation!

Shaun Scannell
Works Coordination Manager, Balfour Beatty (Rail Services)

Lee Husband

I’ve engaged MLG for several large-scale roofing projects with varying challenges, and have always found them proactive and responsive. Projects are completed on time and on budget, and they’re always sensitive to the live nature of our buildings. I look forward to using them again.

Mark Essex
St Monica Trust

Well done to Andrew and the wider MLG team for all their hard work throughout the installation of the Valance. The Valance has changed the landscape of Exchange Square and is being appreciated by all.

Calmour Hill
Sub Agent, Infrastructure u{2013} Rail, Morgan Sindall

MLG are the building contractors responsible for the 10 East flood damage repair works. Both the end client and Clerk of Works were impressed with their efficiency and standard of workmanship, and equally impressed by their level of communication and organisation. As such, we have invited them back to campus to kindly provide a presentation to any interested parties concerned with building projects of varying magnitude.

Oliver Eades
Clerk of Works, University of Bath

From start to finish the team were a pleasure to work with, friendly, professional and clearly very experienced. The liquid-applied system was exactly what we needed and the finish is top-notch. The lads were respectful of the college environment, kept everything tidy and caused minimal disruption to staff and students. A brilliant job, we’d definitely recommend MLG.

Richard Huish College

So I wanted to write to you and personally thank you and your teams for the efforts over the weekend battling the elements with Storm Darragh. Please pass on my thanks to all those involved, I know it was a real team effort, and just shows what can be achieved when working together. Your support as always is really appreciated…

Adrian Freeman
Programme Director, Sisk

MLG has done a great job getting the Valance installed ahead of programme with over 95% of the works now completed.

Jack Cox

Just wanted to place on record that Jon was extremely helpful in turning these works around at very short notice and played a key role in helping us out of a difficult situation with NWR.

Ian Parrock
Works Delivery Manager, Sisk

Great, I will be on site. Cameron has just finished and has done a great job, as have all your team that were involved.

Oliver Richards
Regional Support Services Manager, Aspris

Thank you for the work on the tipping hall lines. In Viridor we have a scheme called Homesafe Innovation, where something is an improvement and other sites should be made aware of good progress.
