Chippenham Station

  • Works involved the complete refurbishment of the listed canopy to the front of the station after years of neglect.

  • As the works progressed additional structural alterations were required to support the canopy, these were designed by MLG with NWR engineers onsite.

  • Client: Sisk Rail

Newport Station

  • Works involved the complete refurbishment of a section of a listed canopy to platform 1 that needed removal for scaffold access to old station house.

  • As the works progressed additional structural alterations were required to support the canopy, these were designed by MLG with NWR engineers onsite.

Wales - Signal Box internal refurbisHment

  • Works involved the internal refurbishment of 18 signal boxes. Including internal decoration, new flooring, new kitchen’s, new toilets and blinds/soft furnishings. All works were carried out in a rolling programme whilst signal boxes were operational with no incidents.

  • Signal Boxes: Abercynnon, Abergavenny, Bishton, Carmarthen Junction, Clarbeston Road, Ferryside, Kidwelly, Little Mill, Llanwern Bishton, Pantyffynnon, Park Junction, Pembury, Pontrillas, Port Talbot, Radyr Control Centre, Tram Inn and Whitland.

Oxford Station

Supporting Great Western Railway on PPM with the station toilets. This includes regular cleaning to the above and below ground driange to prevent blockages.

Paddington Station

  • The works involved the installation of additional security measures due to repeated access to the roof space. This was featured in a channel 5 documentary. The works involved installing 250 meters of anti-climb rollers to the taxi area. Plus, the installation of 80 meters of bespoke 358 mesh fencing to Sail bridge. This was carefully managed with the station with the critical elements being installed under possession and isolation.

Warminster bridge

  • The works involved the design, supply and installation of a GRP applied surface to the station overbridge.

  • MLG worked closely with Polydeck to design the applied surfaces as a team - we work together frequently to deliver surface installation requirements across the country.

Tesco EXtra Yate

  • Emergency works to make safe an area of cladding to store floor above the car-park. MLG were called on P1 (4 Hour) attendance where we located the fault and identified the risk. We quickly reacted and set up an exclusion zone with 50 barriers. We then identified the process to safely remove the material and started work on a 24hr basis using our MEWP’s and IPAF trained operatives to remove the defective section in total 240m2 was removed.

Didcot thames valley signalling centre (TVSC)

  • MLG carried out works to platform floor. The spec was to mechanically abrade the surface then apply a two coat epoxy resin to seal the porous concrete floor.

Cardiff Wales regional operation centre (WROC)

  • MLG carried out refurbishment to the staff kitchen and break area. The works were carried out while the centre was operational and were meticulously planned so as to cause zero disruption.
